Hannah Gill plays a spirited brand of lo-fi, soul-inspired rock ‘n’ roll that exudes a lifetime of experience on the sea. “I grew up around the water,” she tells Eastern Surf Magazine. “It has always been part of my creative process. Water gives people life, it strengthens my passions, and surfing helps me get closer to that energy the ocean possesses.”
"...teenagers don’t often make records as striking as Gill’s debut EP, “The Water,” with her band the Hours. Her warm contralto voice sounds like it would be equally at home in jazz or soul, and the single “Austin” has a sultry Southern feel that would’ve done Dusty Springfield proud." - Brett Milano with Boston Herald
